Last week was a short one because of Qing Ming Featival. We still got a lot of stuff done in the art room!
Everyone is concentrating so hard on painting their mosaic piece, I think I could hear a pin drop!
Grade 2 Panda made and painted the beginning of their mosaics. This is just the first part, because we will be making real mosaics with glass tiles and grout! Super exciting!!
Mrs.Chen is working really hard to make her mosaic lovely. James is just so happy to be in art class!
Grade three Lion wanted to make a sign for the new 'Art Wall of Fame' bulletin board between the fifth and sixth floor, so I said, go ahead!! They got into groups and each made one word to add to the wall. We used every kind of material the art room had to offer and came up with a fabulous sign for our bulletin board. Good work grade three lion!
Art club is making tape art!
Grade four Dragon's Moai sculptures.
More Moai sculptures.
Grade four are making Moai sculptures from Easter Island using plaster and clay tools. It's difficult, but we're having a great time trying to imagine what it was like to make those huge sculptures.
Grade six is finishing their dessert containers. They look so real!!!!
Grade six have finished their dessert containers and have gone on to painting them. We even added real sprinkles to make them look even more real!
I am the art teacher at Shanghai United International School PuDong Campus. I teach art to Grade Three Panda all the way to Grade Eight. I am also the Homeroom teacher for Grade8TB. Lucky them! Some students think I am famous, because everyone knows me at our school. :]
