Another way is to download some apps for your iphone or ipad if you have one! There are tons of apps that are for art. Below is a list of apps I use and like, and if you have any, please email me at [email protected] so I can add them to the list!!!
sketchbook express: free
sketchbook pro: 30 yuan
grade 3 ~ 4 or older
This app is a lot like a regular sketchbook. I use the free version and it is plenty of fun. There are many different brushes to choose from. You can change the thickness of all the brushes and the opacity. You can add layers and shapes, even text! This is not really an app for small kids though.
tinkerpaint: free (I think)
photo bumdle: 12 yuan
This app is a lot of fun, even for small students! There are a lot of brushes and tools you can use, and you can even use your own photos to play with is you upgrade to the photo bundle. You can change colours, size and so much more with this app.
AB EX NY: free
Are your children really interested in art? Let them look in the Museum of Modern Art through this app.
Art Authority for Ipad: $4.99
Art authority is a real world art museum with over 500,000 works of art. It even has offline access to works previously viewed.
MoMA Art Lab: $4.99
Students can create modern works of art right on their ipad with the MoMA art lab app. You and your family vsn explore hopw artists use line, shape, colour and create your own artwork inspired by the Museum of Modern Art's collections of artwork.
Art Set: .99 cents
Students can use the art set app to experiment with using many different types of materials without making a huge mess around the house!
Art Rage: $2.99
Students can get creative with paint, rollers, paintbrishes, colours, pencils, chalk, crayon, erasers and even airbrushes! This is another app that will let students experiment with many different materials without the mess!
Art Collection HD: $3.99
A huge collection of artwork for students to look at and learn about. Students can zoom in and see the pieces of art in great detail.
Origami: free
Students can learn how to create some simple origami animals and shapes with very simple step by step instructions. The best part, its free!
Bit Draw: free
In this app, students can go way back in time and draw using bits!
Art Circles: free
Students can learn about different collections of art based on the curators that collected them. The curators have added their comments on the collections that students can listen to while they look at the art works. Very cool!
